Hi, No, I do'nt know the reason of such a green color, but as T&S suggested, it must be because of mosses and stagnation.
I really dream I can visit south america someday, especially Peru, for the Machu Picchu and its other wonders. It'll just be a matter of saved money for me. All the countries i travelled to, until now, are country where I was luck enough to know someone who welcomed me. Other places will require hotel and more money :-) But Peru remains one of my biggest dreams destinations.
